Easter Sunday

I got up at 8:15. The boys were still sleeping. I could easily have slept two more hours. It's easy to sleep in here - don't know if its the white down comforter, the cool temps, or just being on Holdiay. Today's another rainy day and that's not a complaint. The boys got to wake up to Easter "baskets".

This morning the hot water went while Cari was in the shower. There was no more showering this morning than usual, so we weren't sure it ran out. We left for our daily excursion with the idea that the hot water would be available when we got back.

Today's excursion took us from Morden to Tower Hill, destination The Tower of London.
Since Pop and Grandma were here last year we split up, Philipps to the Tower and Barbours on a walking tour across Tower Bridge.

There was still no hot water when we got back. We had no access to the hot water heater so Pop had to call the service (One Fine Stay). It was an easy enough fix. The hot water is controlled by the normal climate control thermostat for the house. I'm used to hot water being controlled by a separate heater than forced air heat for the house. This house is heated by hot water radiators.

Before dinner we collected the pictures from the day on Pop's IPad. This has been a routine the past week. The pictures from Grandma, Pop, Cari, Sari and I are combined and viewed.

Pop and I took the same picture outside the Tower

Strategizing for the day

How many pictures is Sam sticking out his tongue?

Going into the Crown Jewels display.

The Ravens at the Tower. The story goes something like if the Ravens leave the Tower will collapse.

Leaving the dungeon.

Grandma is cooking a honey-baked ham from scratch. She is batting a thousand with the comfort foods.

We saw a large rat outside the kitchen window in the backyard.

We're going to bed early tonight because we have a taxi picking us up at 6:15 am. We have to be packed and ready to go. Pop and I watched some of the Masters which started around 7pm. By the time I headed upstairs for the final time it was 11:30pm and the final pair was just finishing the 17th tee. I was thinking of my dad because he is watching the masters and it would be around 3:30pm. His first day of TV after giving it up for Lent.
